Nude photographs which purport to be the Hollywood actress were leaked onto the internet this morning.
The 26-year-old star is said to have contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigation because she believes a criminal act has taken place, TMZ reports.
The pictures of Scarlett appear to be self portraits and include the actress draped in a towel but with her backside exposed which is reflected in a mirror.
Another image seems to show a topless picture of the Golden Globe winning actress that she appears to have taken herself.
